Click here for the link to the online signup and flyer for Hands Across the Water's Yoga for Youth Class.  The goal of this project is to help improve the well-being of foster and adopted youth by equipping them with practical skills to reduce anxiety and stress through yoga, meditation and mindfulness training.  Through heightened body awareness and promotion of self-regulation techniques, our project seeks to give youth lifelong tools and empower them to improve their overall health and wellness.  This project is funded by the Health Endowment Fund and will require participants and caregivers to fill out a short pre and post survey before and after the completion of the class, and again at 6 month and a year from the conclusion of the class to evaluate the project.
**Classes are FREE of charge and will take place on Thursday evenings, from Sept. 28-Nov 2 (6 consecutive weeks for one hour)  We ask that caregivers make every effort for the youth to attend each class to achieve the maximum benefit.  Ages 6-12yrs will attend 5:30-6:30 PM and ages 13-18yrs 6:30-7:30 PM and will take place at HATW - Ann Arbor 781 Avis Dr. Suite 200
***Additionally, caregivers are asked to attend a meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 20th  from 6:30-7:30 PM to learn more about how to support youth at home with the skills they will learn and to ask questions.
If families are interested in participating, but unable to participate in the first session, they should sign up HERE and indicate their interest in being advised of the dates/times of upcoming groups.  (There will be three more sessions over the next 12 months)
